Blogger Style

I am addicted to this blog, Atlantic-Pacific.  She has the best style, from head to toe.  She alternates sunglasses, hair styles, jewelry, etc.  She layers collared shirts and jackets to for a unique, colorful look.  I’ve been known to steal her style from time to time.  Check out her blog for some styling ideas here.

Asos Skirts

2 Aug

I’m trying to clean my look up so I’ve been wearing more skirts.  I am really in love with knee length skirts.  I’m over seeing so many minis, its time to move on.  This length is classy AND thins you out.  The styling is great in all of these.  The leopard heels paired with the bright skirts makes the outfits really pop.  I’m also liking the nude shirt and belt worn with the green skirt, simple and stylish.  These skirts are good with sandals for the summer or paired with tights for the winter.

Doc Martens are the best.  I have an old pair sitting in my closet collecting dust.  I just came across them the other day and figured it was about time I bust them out. Here are some different ways to wear them.  I really want a pair of the pink ones, they are too cute.  For summer they go well with skirts and dresses, and for winter just pair them with skinny jeans or tights and you are ready to go!

Colorful blazers are everywhere lately.  Here are a few to brighten up your wardrobe.  The flashy pink, orange, or green blazers can be paired with t shirts or dresses to help liven up your look.

I just got back from seeing ‘Beginners’ – the movie was just ok, but I really liked the styling.  Melanie Laurent looks adorable in the entire movie, styled in pea coats, dresses with tights, and delicate jewelry (Ewan McGregor isn’t bad either).

Indian Palaces

23 Jul

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about doing some traveling.  I looked through old photos that my sister and I took and found some of Indian palaces we visited some years back.  The architecture is amazing, inside and out.  I wish I had more photos of the small detailing inside.

As far as I’m concerned sequin dresses never go out of style.  I love anything sparkly – glittery things are kind of my weakness.  Here are some really awesome short/cocktail, sequined dresses that caught my eye.  I picked these because they are simple but each have small details that make them unique and beautiful.  The back of the Free People dress, along with the cool bronze color it comes in, make it so cute.  I love the loose, elbow length sleeves on the Vince dress.  And finally, the French Connections dresses are so great because of the wrap – dress style along with the structured shoulders.  Now I just have to find somewhere to wear these to.
