I just got back from seeing ‘Beginners’ – the movie was just ok, but I really liked the styling. Melanie Laurent looks adorable in the entire movie, styled in pea coats, dresses with tights, and delicate jewelry (Ewan McGregor isn’t bad either).

As far as I’m concerned sequin dresses never go out of style. I love anything sparkly – glittery things are kind of my weakness. Here are some really awesome short/cocktail, sequined dresses that caught my eye. I picked these because they are simple but each have small details that make them unique and beautiful. The back of the Free People dress, along with the cool bronze color it comes in, make it so cute. I love the loose, elbow length sleeves on the Vince dress. And finally, the French Connections dresses are so great because of the wrap – dress style along with the structured shoulders. Now I just have to find somewhere to wear these to.
She takes this to a whole new level. While in court today Lindsay Lohan claimed she is unable to continue with therapy for financial reasons. Almost believable (seeing as how she hasn’t been in any movies recently)…but then you catch a glimpse of those shoes.
Those are 6 inch, $1,195, ‘Madame Butterfly’ Christian Louboutins! Yes, you heard me right, almost $1,200! The girl found a way to get her roots touched up and throw on a pair of thousand dollar heels for court (worth more than me life) but she can’t make it to counseling because she is too poor. Man, this one really made me laugh…gotta love LA.

I love oxfords. The Prada wing-tip platform espadrille oxfords are pretty sharp, but they go for around $795. Since that is so far out of my price range its not even funny, I found some look alikes for much cheaper. I’ve seen the Prada ones on Rihanna and Elle Fanning styled with cute Spring/Summer dresses and they are super stylish.

Here are some instructional videos on how to tie a scarf from Lauranne Plat, stylist for Liberty of London. She is very creative with the scarves, tying them into head wraps, bow ties, and more. I think the bow tie is adorable. With a few different printed scarves you could create so many looks. Enjoy!

I have always loved peter pan collars. Lately I’ve seen them everywhere. Here are some photos of cute peter pan collars. The last two are my favorite because they are actually necklaces/detachable collars. You can pair them with any blouse or dress to get an entirely new look!

I was reading the news online this morning on the Daily Mail and saw that Fearne Cotton is coming out with a new line for Very online. I checked it out, and its really cute. The line was inspired by 1960’s star Twiggy. The dresses are adorable, especially styled with mary janes and socks. There are also some 60’s inspired heels and cardigans.

Here are a few looks from French designer Bouchara Jarrar’s Fall 2011 collection. The looks are so sleek. The blue and gray work so well together. I especially like the electric blue heels that go perfectly with all of the outfits. Pulled back hair and understated makeup help complete the polished looks. I really love when something so simple can be so eye catching.

I watched ‘Purple Rain’ for the first time the other night, and while I could write and entire post on how awesome the movie was, this post is about the studded jacket Prince wears throughout the film. It made me want to stud every coat/jacket in my closet. I think I’ll stud an old denim jacket that I never wear later this week. My next post might be about the bodysuit/leotards worn by Appollonia.
